These terms govern your use of the LandCode website at landcode.co and the products we offer through it. Please read them carefully. By using the site or our products, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
LandCode, LLC ("LandCode," "we," "us") is an independent software studio based in the Greater Chattanooga area. We build compliance and documentation tools for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, including CanopyCode, ArborCode, SheetCode, and LandCode, plus the free LandCode Alerts service.
This website markets our products and routes you to them. Each product may be delivered as a desktop plugin, a web application, or a downloadable installer, and may have its own product terms presented at sign-up or purchase. Where a product's own terms conflict with these, the product's terms control for that product.
Some products require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your authorization.
Paid products are sold as subscriptions or licenses, billed through our payment processor. Pricing, billing periods, and seat terms are shown at checkout for each product. Unless a product states otherwise, paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. CanopyCode includes a 30-day money-back guarantee on professional licenses; enterprise terms may differ. You can request changes or cancellation by contacting us or through the product where applicable.

Our tools are aids for licensed and qualified professionals. They help you research code and produce documentation faster, but they do not replace your professional judgment and are not legal advice. You remain the professional of record for your work. Codes, ordinances, and agency interpretations change and vary by jurisdiction; you are responsible for verifying any result against the official source and the authority having jurisdiction before you rely on it. LandCode does not warrant that any output is complete, current, or suitable for a particular permit or approval.
The software, site, brand, and content are owned by LandCode or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the products under these terms and any applicable product terms. The data and drawings you create or upload remain yours; you grant us the limited rights we need to operate the products and provide support.
We rely on third parties to operate, including a payment processor, scheduling, hosting, and analytics providers, and our product apps (for example, arborcode.app). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
The site and products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LandCode will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or a product is limited to the amount you paid us for that product in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold LandCode harmless from claims arising out of your use of the site or products, your content, or your violation of these terms or of law.
We may update these terms or change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site or products. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. We may suspend or end access for conduct that violates these terms. You may stop using the site or products at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. (Governing law and venue to be confirmed by counsel.)
