Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect on the LandCode website at landcode.co, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our individual product apps may present their own privacy notices for the data you create inside them; this policy covers the website and the sign-ups and contact you make here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• your email address when you request early access or LandCode Alerts;
• your profession and the cities you choose when you sign up for Alerts;
• anything you include when you contact us or request a demo.

Information collected automatically

• basic usage data such as pages viewed and referring links, through privacy-light analytics;
• standard technical data such as IP address, browser, and device type, used for security and to keep the site working.

Payments

When you buy a product, payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation and limited billing details, but we do not collect or store your full card number.

2. How we use information

• to provide what you asked for, such as sending the alerts you signed up for;
• to respond to your questions and demo requests;
• to operate, secure, and improve the site and our products;
• to process purchases and provide support.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, under agreements that limit their use of it. These include our payment processor (for checkout), a scheduling provider (for demos), and hosting and analytics providers. We may also share information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and privacy-light analytics to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure. We aim to avoid intrusive advertising trackers. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service you asked for and for legitimate business and legal purposes. When you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it unless we are required to keep it.

6. Your choices and rights

• you can unsubscribe from Alerts or other emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us;
• you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you;
• depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The site and products are intended for professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Where your information is processed

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there. If you use the site from outside the United States, you understand your information is processed in the U.S.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above when we do, and we will take reasonable steps to tell you about material changes.
